We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent full-time role that operates during the night shift, ideal for those who thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Our Maintenance Technicians are integral to our manufacturing operations, ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently, and our products meet the excellent standards our customers expect.

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment to detect any malfunctions.
2. Performing preventative maintenance tasks on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
3. Diagnosing problems and performing necessary repairs to equipment and systems, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
4. Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
5. Utilizing a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
6. Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
7. Operating a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment.
8. Troubleshooting PLC systems and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
9. Assisting in the training of lower level technicians and operators as needed.
10. Participating in continuous improvement activities to enhance team performance and product quality.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.
2. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
3. Basic knowledge of single and 3-phase electrical systems.
4. Deep understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
5. Proficiency in using various tools, including lathe and mill.
6. Familiarity with HVAC systems.
7. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
8. Knowledge of programmable logic controller (PLC) systems.
9. Understanding of machine maintenance tech and pneumatics.
10. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
13. High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in business administration or facility management will be an advantage.
14. Valid Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired.
